We’re thrilled to share that our directors Lourdes del Pino and Mirelis Peraza have been recognized in The New York Times!
In the June 12th article by Henry Louis Gates, Jr. — “Noblemen, enslaved people, freedom fighters, slaveholders: what the complex family tree of the first American pontiff reveals” — their groundbreaking research into Pope Leo’s Cuban and Spanish ancestry is credited as a key contribution.
Congratulations to Lourdes and Mirelis for this extraordinary recognition! Their dedication to preserving and uncovering genealogical truth continues to inspire us all.
