A Visit to Florida Internation University’s Special Collection – March 9, 2024

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS AN IN-PERSON MEETING
MEMBERS ONLY

FIU’s Special Collection includes books, manuscripts, archives, artifacts, and media and spans the history, development, and culture of Latin America, the Caribbean, Miami, and South Florida. Primary source materials are available in the reading room for discovery and research. For a listing of some of our collections visit Explore Our Collections.

The Collection is normally only open Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 4 PM. However, Vicki Silvera, Special Collections Department Head and friend of the CGC, has graciously offered to open the collection to us for an afternoon of adventure and discovery! Don’t miss this great opportunity!!

For a behind-the-scenes look at Vicki’s passion for collections, visit the University of Miami Libraries Caribbean Diaspora Oral History Collection’s interview

If you are NOT a member and would like to attend as a guest, contact Martha Ibañez-Zervoudakis at secretary@cubangenclub.org NO LATER THAN MARCH 2ND, 2024.
